Kaboom! was originally running to exist as an Atari-produced 2600 port of their 1978 arcade game, "Avalanche." Activision's game was very successful, selling assibilate a single million cartridges by 1983.

Gameplay within Kaboom! consists of getting bombs dropped per "Mad Bomber" by owning the placed of threesome buckets applying the paddle controller. Points come scored for each bomb caught, more buckets (maximal of troikthe) come awarded at each 1,000 points, & of these load is misplaced each instance a bomb is dropped. Bombs fall at increasing higher speeds, making higher levels exponentially more difficult than the earliest levels.

Whenever Kaboom! was originally sold, anyone world health organization scored above 3,000 points may send Activision the picture of their screen & receive membership in the Activision Bucket Brigade and also receive the Pail Brigade patch.

When a "Mad Bomber" was dropping bombs, he got an unhappy face. In case a streaming video player missed & a bomb is dropped, he smiled when the bombs on the screen exploded. A punt manual mentioned that something "special" would happen when 10,000 points.

While a streaming video player reached that score threshold, a "Mad Bomber"'s face would pop up surprised/upset, potentially whenever the streaming video player dropped a bomb.
